Lower Calorie Chili Mac Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoestomato
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup frozen corn (slightly thawed)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 Teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 Teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 Teaspoon oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2/3 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 can black beans, drained
  • 2/3 cup shredded reduced fat cheddar

Method

  1. Cook turkey and onion in large skillet.
  2. Drain grease.
  3. Stir in next 10 ingredients and bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in macaroni.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in black beans and heat for 2 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
