Tips For Choosing Running Shoes
There are a couple things to keep in mind when you’re picking out a shoe if you’re going to be running in it.
Tips
- Find the right shoes.
- You may need to carry things like keys and phone and workout clothes very often don’t come with pockets. So a belt with pouches may be useful to carry these items.
- What and when to eat before going for a run. Having a light, carb-rich snack somewhere between 30 and 60 minutes before a run may work for you. A light snack like a banana or an apple will give you energy, but it shouldn’t make you feel sick or
heavy like a large meal would. - There are apps that are available for you to use but the choices can be overwhelming. Try different ones until you work out which will be the best for you.
- When you’re starting out running for the first time, it is easy to start running at an above average pace. Instead, take notice of how fast you’re moving when you’re walking a brisk walk. Very slowly, increase your pace to a light jog and get comfortable with your body moving at that pace.
