Thai Beef Stir-Fry

A quick to prepare and tasty dish – the perfect after work meal. This Thai style stir-fry will soon become a mid week meal favourite. You could add some more oyster sauce and a little sweet chilli sauce to prevent it being too dry.

 

Lower Calorie Thai Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 400g beef strips, or steak cut into thin strips
  • 1 red chilli , de-seeded and finely sliced
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • handful basil leaves

 

Method

  1. Heat a wok or large frying pan until smoking hot.
  2. Pour in the oil and swirl around the pan, then tip
    in the beef strips and chilli.
  3. Cook, stirring all the time, until the meat is lightly
    browned, about 3 mins, then pour over the oyster sauce.
  4. Cook until heated through and the sauce coats the meat.
  5. Stir in the basil leaves and serve with plain rice.
