Dairylea Chicken

This is a quick and easy dish to make and the chicken is lovely and tender and very juicy. The video recipe shows you how to make bacon wrapped chicken and has an easy to learn stuffing and wrapping technique that will work no matter what you decide to fill your chicken breasts with.

  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • Cheese Triangles
  • Bacon
  • 1 Red pepper
  • Garlic puree
  • Mixed herbs
  • Mushrooms

If you use freshly crushed garlic instead of purée, this will keep the syns down. Garlic purée is about 1 syn per teaspoon.


  1. Preset the oven to 200C
  2. Slice the mushrooms and red pepper
  3. Cut a pocket into each chicken breast
  4. Put a cheese triangle into each piece of chicken and spread this out
  5. Put the sliced mushrooms and peppers on top of the cheese
  6. Add some garlic puree to the filling
  7. Sprinkle on a few mixed herbs
  8. Fold the chicken to cover the filling and then spread another cheese triangle over the folded chicken breast
  9. Remove the rind from the bacon and then use the bacon to wrap the chicken
  10. Then wrap each individual chicken breast in foil and
    place on a baking tray
  11. Cook in the pre-heated oven for 20 – 25 minutes
